The monkey speaks
I’m Joseph, the melbs.org web monkey. Usually I’m locked away in my little cage, but Pat had a few too many tinnies last night and passed out without flipping the latch. So I went on a rampage.
The new melbs.org finally has a gigs listing, slightly forlorn on the right there, but expect it to fill up over the coming hours. We now have a philosophically purer approach to mp3 availability—only while the review is “recent” (listed above) can you download the mp3. This is fairer to the artists and somewhat evilly forces you to stay abreast of the goings-on here. Incidentally you can do that most efficiently by subscribing to the RSS feed. Older reviews are “under the fold”—click the button beneath the archives list to get to them. Searching for stuff is now 67% more fun: type something in the box at the top and hit Enter. Ajaxy!
However, the reason I’m really telling you this is because I’ve indubitably broken shit. If you see something that’s not working and doesn’t have an Out of Order sign hanging from it, you know what to do.
Also! I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but I did hear Pat mumbling in his paralysis something that sounded like a line-up for an imminent melbs.org presents show. It’s oof! mmph, mmm-mmmph, [sounds of struggle, et cetera…]
